Back to Linux Ubuntu

After a few weeks using Kubuntu, I decided to switch back to Ubuntu which I have used previously for a few days.
The interface of Ubuntu looks nicer for me, and the distribution is lighter.

I just managed to make google earth work correctly and smoothly, and I am now having a look on the software Quantum GIS, which looks pretty nice.

On the other hand, Wine seems to be a big joke :/

Linux is nice, yep... but still quite demanding. I am not quite ready to leave MS Windows behind...

A great russian movie I recently watched.

1944, in the finnish Lapland; a finnish sniper and a russian officer come to meet each other, saved by a young lappish widow. No one of the 3 speaks the same language, but they will have to share the farm and live together a simple life. At the same time, war is ending.
A nice romance.

I am safe in Jakarta, resting at my family members' places.

I am taking it easy. and it's good since my wounded ankle is healing faster.
Hopefully, I'll be able to get back on the trails in the next few days....

Gunung Semeru and Gunung Merbabu are waiting for me...
